ABC “News” today published a puff piece on their blog and social media channels designed to spin the abortion industry as “brimming with warmth, supportive, caring, compassionate, honourable, concerned about human rights, loving, empowering.”
The piece positively gushed about how wonderful the industry colluding to kill your pre-born children is, without any of the objective realities such a controversial topic would demand from an actually objective journalist, editor or taxpayer-funded media monolith with a legislated charter to represent all political views equally and without bias.
Realities such as it’s incredibly difficult to find a qualified biologist who doesn’t agree each human life begins at fertilisation. Realities such as abortion is the intentional killing of a living human completely unique from his or her mother’s body, the fact that 70% of post-abortive women would have made a different decision if they simply had a single person to support them with any other choice, and the fact that abortion is a reliable predictor of future substance abuse, significant mental health issues, career and marriage failure and many other adverse outcomes.
While it’s true that few Australians want post-abortive women criminalised for their tragic choice, it’s also true that most Australians do not support elective abortions at any stage for any reason.
But the ABC in its vast moral superiority has chosen which side of the raging debate is right and to actively campaign against the deeply held convictions of those who disagree, most of whom are unwillingly funding the ABC’s crusade against little people.
So, to make sure we get the message that abortion is good and real human rights advocates are actually soulless monsters enslaving the bodies of poor women who are simply wanting the medical autonomy to make decisions like removing a lethal parasite from their womb, they parade pictures and stories of a seemingly harmless grandmotherly type with a warm smile. ABC “News” spins a carefully crafted tale with anecdotes of how much a terrified woman once appreciated this “abortion doula’s” support as the life of her developing child was deliberately ended, complete with a modest sprinkling of the myth of “medical necessity”.

This is not okay. This is not news. This is a gross violation of the ABC’s charter. More than just a waste, this is a complete and scandalous misappropriation of precious taxpayer dollars to first subsidise and then rationalise the child sacrifice industry and its barbarous trade in human misery. It’s a completely deceitful exercise in propaganda straight out of the dystopian Chinese Communist regime’s handbook for their state media.
There is no possible remedy for the ABC’s total departure from its charter. It must be immediately reduced to providing services where there is precious little commercial service geographically or topically, such as rural/agricultural reports and markets. The days it was needed as an essential service ended long ago, and now the only regions it’s really needed is places without a high-speed internet connection. It’s head offices in each state should be in larger regional centres, not capital cities.
There is absolutely no credible assertion that the bulk of conservatives feel the ABC represents them. The proof of this is who complains the loudest and longest when someone suggests the golden calf would do more good broken apart, melted down and recast for something more useful. It’s not many folks right of centre
The ABC’s shrill defenders are overwhelmingly morally superior woketivists and regressive leftists, and, not coincidentally, those apologists for the bloodthirsty child sacrifice industry. That the ABC feels confident and safe to publish glowing abortion propaganda is proof positive they have zero regard for a balanced national dialogue about important public issues.
It’s well past time to defund the ABC.
