The Donald Trump Presidency was an experiment to see if the Deep State Establishment could tolerate an outsider challenging their vice like grip on power and control.
As expected, they can’t.
Trump was never meant to win in 2016. It had been ordained that Hillary Clinton would ascend to the throne, the first female President of the United States. The Obama administration spied on the Trump campaign, including using illegal phone taps. The Clinton camp reminded people that if they voted for Trump, they were deplorables. The media, who for 8 years had been fawning at the feet of President Obama, continued their prejudice by attacking Trump and ignoring any criticism of Clinton.
But the unthinkable happened, and Trump won.
And, beginning on 20 January 2017, the plot to manipulate and rig the 2020 election began.
Immediately, the Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) began the process to remove the President. “The campaign to impeach President Trump has begun”, said the Washington Post headline, a mere 19 minutes after the inauguration.
For four years, the Left screamed, accused, attacked, shrieked hyperbole, blocked, obstructed, threatened. The media – giving up any last semblance of news reporting – ran endless stories attacking the President, over-exaggerating any negatives, ignoring all the positives, hyperventilating over non-events (remember the two scoops of ice-cream story?) and making up endless ludicrous stories, in a calculated plan to undermine the President and make sure nobody voted for him in 2020. After all, if all you hear is negative criticism, why would you re-elect him?
The Left accused Trump of threatening and jailing journalists (Obama did that, not Trump).
They attacked Trump for his policy of locking children up in cages at the border (Obama instigated that policy).
They ranted about Trump’s so-called “Muslim ban” (Also Obama’s policy, but not about Muslims anyway).
They claimed Trump would start wars, including World War Three (Nobel Peace Prize winning Obama dropped an average of 3 bombs an hour, 24 hours a day, for the entirety of 2016 – at least 26,171 bombs – on Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan).
They accused Trump of racism and division (while they themselves rioted, looted, burnt down shops and houses, assaulted innocent people, all the while shouting racially divisive slogans and accusations).
And Hillary Clinton travelled the country, promoting her book, and reminding everyone that, really, she had won the election.
Despite a complete lack of evidence, the “Russian collusion/Russian spy” story continued, leading to the inevitable impeachment, and the equally inevitable dismissal of charges by the Senate.
Big Tech – Twitter, Facebook and Google – also aided in the electoral manipulation. Conservative voices were censored or shadow-banned. Posts were removed or slapped with a “fact-check”, while dishonest and violent-inducing comments from Leftists or radical extremists were allowed to stay untarnished. The 220-year-old New York Post had their Twitter account locked because they dared to promote a story questioning the son of the chosen anointed Presidential candidate Joe Biden.
The Left undermined democracy, threatened the role of President, incited violence, destruction and hatred across the country, all the while accusing President Trump of doing exactly what they were doing. And the media played along, with blatantly dishonest reporting, and dishing out opinion as fact.
So when the 2020 election drew closer, many Americans had been misled to think that the President had made their lives worse, was threatening the very fabric of democracy, (including stealing mailboxes!), thought that neo-Nazis were very fine people (another Leftist lie), was waging wars with multiple countries, had destroyed the economy, and was killing innocent people across the country.
They were also misled into thinking there was no scandal or legitimate concerns over Joe Biden’s son Hunter and his involvement in Ukraine and China (because the media refused to talk about it), and that there were no concerning, conflicting or unexplained policy positions from the Biden camp (because the media refused to ask any difficult questions, and covered for Biden every day).
Any legitimate increase in the Democrat vote was not a vote for Biden (who had not campaigned at all, had not inspired anyone with his confused rambling speeches, and was presenting unpopular divisive policies), but a vote against Trump (who was a divisive personality, with allegedly no policy successes to speak of)
So yes, the election was manipulated. The Democrats, media and Big Tech, with their deception, coverups, misdirection, misreporting, dishonesty, censorship, were engineering as high as vote for Joe Biden (or at least, as low a vote for Trump) as they could manage.
So, considering the extent of this conspiracy, this four-year assault on democracy, truth, freedom, and knowing how desperate the Democrats are to regain power, and to be restored to their rightful place (for they do actually believe they are entitled to govern), it’s not hard to think they could/would engage in actual voter fraud to make sure the election goes the right way.
It is yet to be seen if the claims can be proven in court, or if the consequences will be enough to overturn the presumptive results, but the stories of mail-in-ballot rorting, voting machine irregularities, unlawful restrictions on scrutineers, ballot harvesting, Constitutional breaches, dead people voting, people voting multiple times, secrecy, and more, are serious enough that even 30% of Democrat voters think the Democrats stole the election.
If America is handed a three-year investigation into Russian collusion, despite a complete lack of evidence, surely they should entertain an investigation into voting irregularities with so much credible evidence.
Whatever the final outcome of the 2020 election, the United States is even more divided today than they were after Obama had finished in the Oval Office. Joe Biden’s divisive, repressive, damaging, ideological policies will not do anything to help heal that division. And when Kamala Harris replaces Biden sometime during this term, that will only get worse.
The Deep State has spoken.
Whether Trump is returned or not, it is vital that the Establishment is not allowed to manipulate and bully their way into an endless hold on power.
After the Constitutional Convention in 1787, Elizabeth Willing Powel asked Benjamin Franklin, “Well Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?”
“A republic,” replied Franklin, “if you can keep it.”
The battle to keep the republic is only going to get more intense.
