About 500 BC, Haman, an official in the court of King Ahasuerus of the Persian Empire, convinced the King to issue a decree authorising all Persians to kill all Jews. Queen Esther, a Jew, was used by God to foil Haman’s anti-Semitism, and he and his 10 sons were hanged on the gallows he had built to kill Esther’s uncle, Mordecai. The king’s command to permit mass murder of Jews could not be revoked, but with his authority another command was issued permitting all Jews to unite to defend their lives.
Since the Roman imperialists mass murdered or exiled most of the Jews in the Promised Land 100 years after Messiah, the nation of Israel has been scattered to the world. Virtually every nation since then that has had a significant Jewish population, apart from India and China, has massacred its Jews.
The state of Israel is modern history’s authority permitting all Jews to unite to defend their lives.
