EVERYONE KNOWS how important it is to appear inclusive and tolerant in the false religion of secular humanism, so it’s consistent with that culture – not Christianity – for the Sydney Prayer Breakfast Committe to include the pagan ritual called “acknowledgment of” or “welcome to Country”.

Too good not to SHARE!

They have previously confirmed to me in writing they will again be featuring this witchcraft and idolatry (my words) in their event scheduled for 11 June, and below is my now open letter to them, a week after I sent it to them without reply.

Dear Sydney Prayer Breakfast Committee

It troubles me greatly that you are planning to include irredeemable idolatry in your event which is being advertised as “Christian”. The animistic beliefs of traditional Aboriginal religion are represented to Aboriginals in the use of the word “Country”, as in “acknowledgement of” or “welcome to Country.”

In the unlikely event you are not already well aware of the highly controversial and socially divisive nature of this pagan ritual in the wider community, or of the implicit approval you give to well documented beliefs of the merging of dead ancestors’ spirits with nature then requiring quieting by occultic practices like that which you plan to patronise, please allow me to point you to a credible, reputable and objective third party authority.

As with a Buddha idol in your backyard, what you claim to mean by giving it any place at all is irrelevant to what it objectively means, and the contamination you then bring to the Gospel by publicly (or privately) mixing false religion with the worship of the One True God is heretical, blasphemous and recklessly takes the Name of the Lord in vain.

Here is Aunty Jude Barlow (a Ngunnawal Elder) on the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) website. In case you haven’t heard of it, AIATSIS is situated beside the National Museum and was established in 1964 by the Menzies government to record material culture and ceremonial life of Aborigines. It is regarded as the premier information resource on indigenous Australians. This prestigious institute contradicts whatever liberal theologian has told you that “Country” rituals are redeemable.

If you are serious about loving your neighbour and seeking first the Kingdom of God, do not miss the next Church And State conference near you.

Mrs Barlow explains, “Being welcomed to “Country” means that you are talking to your spiritual ancestors and you’re saying, just let this person come through – we trust them. We trust they’re not going to do any harm on this “Country” and so do not harm them. So for me, the significance of being welcomed to “Country” is about ensuring your spiritual safety. Ancestors…are still present on “Country” ’cause they’re still with us. They’re in the animals, they’re in the trees. So when I walk onto another…”Country” I look to be welcomed so that I feel a sense of – that the spirits are okay with me being there. It’s a connection with my ancestors. We can welcome, as traditional owners, someone to the “Country”, to quiet the spirits.“

The above linked research has copious amounts of references and sources to indisputably establish that no well formed Christian with a healthy fear of God and honour for His Holy Name should be contemplating any form of such syncretism.

I implore you in the Holy Name of Christ to be witnesses of His holiness and His uncontaminated Gospel, and to publicly repent with tears for having signalled in years past that traditional Aboriginal religion is any less ignorant than that which St Paul instructed the men of the Areopagus and that ancient culture to repent of.

Until such time, faithful, God-fearing Christians must separate themselves from such syncretism as you are planning to practice, and I must send my apologies for not being able to give silent assent to your public sin with my attendance.

May the Spirit of the Living God convict your consciences and stir up a love for His righteousness in you again, with the fruit of repentance. If I can be of any assistance in your humble pursuit of Truth, I remain available.

God bless Australia with reformation and righteousness,
