Leftist media and commentators have rushed to gush over celebrity baby announcements. Yet nobody has announced or commented these happy women are pregnant with a “fetus”.
Apparently if the parents are famous, or if the new living human is wanted, it’s a “baby” – and therefore more valuable and deserving than a “fetus”.
Real news – it’s always a valuable person. Different names for different stages don’t lend different value or dignity.
Even if their mother isn’t famous. Even if the baby isn’t wanted by it’s biological parents. Even if the circumstances of conception are tragic. Even if the circumstances of her life will be difficult or even seemingly impossible. Even if he’s geographically on the “wrong” side of the birth canal.
Every human life is precious and worth defending at every stage.
