IN THE PARABLE of the Good Samaritan, Jesus illustrated not only who our neighbour is, but how we should love them. Love of neighbour does not look like the religious people who crossed to the other side of the road to avoid the opportunity to help a stranger in need.

Love of neighbour looks like the person who – despite not being called to the ministry of roadside assistance – practically invested his time, effort and money into helping a total stranger, and took a long term interest in the welfare and outcomes for him.

Here’s my short introduction of the Church And State ministry, why it’s necessary at such a time like this, and how God called me into it the day after the 2016 Australian federal election.

Recorded at the Albury Entertainment Centre, Albury, New South Wales, 16 March 2024.
